1: Biscuit ring bowl
The bowl has s-shaped sides, and usually a biscuit ring in the well,
although some examples are fully glazed. On the exterior there is
uneven glaze around a high foot-ring. The rough white clay shows evidence
of re-oxidizing, with a pinkish hue in some cases. The base is recessed.

2: Green-glazed porcellanous
dish
The glaze varies in colour from a pale green to a deeper olive green.
The interior is incised with stylized scrolls. The exterior is plain
and the glaze stops short of the high footring. The base is recessed
and the clay is a creamy white colour.

3: Olive-glazed bowl
The medallion is delineated by a circular incision with four indentations
on the everted mouth rim of the bowl. On some examples straight lines
run down from these notches to the medallion. The exterior is plain
and the glaze stops short of the foot-ring, with a recessed base.
The clay is creamy white.

4: Olive brown-glazed
bowl
The medallion is delineated by a circular incision similar to type
3. The cavetto is incised with stylised scrolls, whilst the exterior
is incised with a series of vertical lines. The bowl has a straight
rim, a recessed base, creamy white clay and a high foot-ring.

5: Olive green bowl
The boundary of the medallion is an incised circle, with stylized
scrolls on the cavetto of most examples. The exterior is usually incised
with a series of vertical lines, although some examples are plain
on both the exterior and interior. The mouth rim is everted and the
base is recessed.

6: Olive green dish
This type of dish has an incised medallion with a lotus flower motif;
the exterior is plain. The glaze extends up to and over the footring
in some cases. The clay is creamy white, the base is recessed, and
the rim is straight.

7: Brown-glazed kendi
The kends are in two sizes; the spout of the smaller vessels has a
nipple, whereas the spout of the larger vessels is plain. The neck
has two raised circular bands around the circumference. The body has
one band; below this the body undulates and is incised with diagonal
lines. The flat base and the lowermost portion of the kendi are unglazed.

8: Porcellanous ewer
The ewer has a light green glaze and the body is incised with a series
of lotus petals. The curved spout is cut flat at the top and the ribbed
loop handle is luted to the shoulder and neck. The clay is white,
and on some examples the recessed base has Chinese characters painted
in iron oxide.

9: Mercury bottle
The everted mouth rim and the shoulders of the bottle are brown-glazed,
with the remainder of the bottle unglazed. The base is flat and the
clay is grey.

10: Brown-glazed urn
The ovoid shaped urn has an everted lip, with four lug handles attached
to the shoulder. Only the base and the lowermost portion are unglazed.
The clay is grey. Some examples have Chinese characters painted in
iron oxide on the flat base.

11: Brown-glazed ewer
The ewer has a long neck with an everted mouth rim, and a ridge at
the joint of neck and body. The rib looped handle is broad, and flows
from the neck to the shoulder. Two ring-handles each have two arrow
shaped incisions. The lower portion of the vessel is unglazed, as
is the flat base. The clay is grey.

12: White ewer
The ewer has a light green glaze with a sequence of incised vertical
lines around the body. The upper and lower portion of the vessel have
been crudely joined at mid-body. The neck is melon shaped, and the
shoulder has a series of moulded floral patterns. The spout is curved,
and cut flat at the end. The handles on both examples are broken.
The base is slightly recessed; the clay is white.

13: Large olive bowl
The bowl has an incised circular medallion with a Chinese character
in the center and stylized scrolls throughout the cavetto. The exterior
is incised with a succession of vertical lines, and the glaze stops
short of the foot-ring. The base is recessed and the clay is creamy
white.

14: Covered box
The covered box has remained sealed since the date of manufacture.
It is moulded with a sequence of vertical incisions. A ridge extends
either side of the lower and upper portions of the box. On the top
is a raised circular section with a floral motif in the centre. The
base is slightly concave with white clay.

15: Brown-glazed teapot
The teapot has a slightly curved spout, which is cut flat at the top
and has a plain handle. The glaze covers all but the lowermost portions
of the teapot and the base. Both examples recovered have Chinese characters
painted in iron oxide on the base.

16: Black-glazed storage
jar
The jar has an everted rim and straight long neck with four lug handles
on the shoulder. The glaze extends down almost to the base. The clay
is grey.

17: Green-glazed saucer
The one example recovered is very thin and covered by a glaze of qingbai
type. The body appears to be porcelain (rather than porcellanous)
and to have been fired at a very high temperature. The central medallion
features a stylized floral scroll. The exterior is plain and the base
is flat. The clay is white.
