Nanhai Marine Archaeology is a Malaysian company specializing in the search for historical shipwrecks, underwater excavation, and research into the ships and cargo. The company is especially interested in the history and development of Chinese and Southeast Asian ceramics. Reports of the investigations have been published in various journals, and on the internet at www.maritimeasia.ws.
The
advantages of a corporate structure and one group of individuals are independent
financing and uniformity of approach. Wide areas of the seabed are explored,
and undisturbed sites discovered. The company engages experienced divers and
extends an open invitation to scholars and other experts who can assist in maximising
the knowledge gained and contribute to the quality of the results.
